Cause & Affect

These images carry plenty of back stories; loosely referencing architecture, or actual buildings with lengthy histories, now long destroyed. This body of work focuses on material and texture and how embedded objects speaking to the absence of what was destroyed and how the fragments and shadows hold space and a former place while their affects during their ‘getting in the way’ of the painting process are the resulting consequences to the painted surface  - a slight shadow of the integrated objects former self.
