I am a first generation Canadian, the youngest child of three born to WW2 refugees – displaced persons finding refuge in a place called Canada. Growing up in southern Ontario, then moving to the Yukon where my partner and I began our family, living in remote cabins and raising three children with few modern conveniences. My work as a result focuses on belonging and place, personal storytelling, travel, struggle and displacement, the outsider and what living in the space between historical past and contemporary present can mean.
